We visited Friday night around 7 and found a nice crowd with 4 of let's guess 12 tables open. The interior is nice with old brick walls and open beam wood beamed roof. Decor is ok...looks a bit thrown together though with the wooden benches...all in all ok..country music playing softly..not too loud of a place. We ordered the boiled shrimp and fried seafood platter with a stuffed crab app. and a fried eggplant app. The stuffed crab was not bad..moist with more crabmeat than usual (maybe it was sheepshead??). It did not seem to bready but it could have used mote seasoning for me. Saw some onion in it..all in all not bad for 3.95. The 5 or 6 eggplant disks were cut to 1/4" and fried with a course crumbed bread. It was topped with red gravy and partially melted shredded mozz. and dusted with parm. Hot when it came out. This was just so-so for me...Iike my eggplant cut a bit thicker..and the cheese melted. My wife liked her shrimp. "Royal Reds". I hate hearing Royal Reds. WGAF when we have the best brown shrimp in the world..screw royal reds..they had a hint a hint of crab boil and peeled nicely. My seafood platter was per my choice of 3, oysters, shrimp, and catfish. Shrimp were small but plentiful. Oysters fried just right. Catfish was horrible. Fries were good. Would try again but would not get the catfish...

Delicious, delicious! File Gumbo was fantastic. Fried green tomatoes topped with a gigantic crab cake and tangy remouladez and a royal red platter that tastes like lobster. "Decor" is fine, but this place is about eatin'!!

Enjoyed casual dining at Lil Joe's. We went for the soft shell crab, and they were out of them. Thoroughly enjoyed the fried oysters, small, moist and lightly breaded--the best I've had, comparing them to the large breaded crunchy ones elsewhere, and I like oysters. The deep sea Royal Red shrimp were tender and tasty, having been boiled in crab seasoning. Dinners come with choice of two sides and bread, and cost about $13-16. Po-boys are on the menu, too. Located in Depot Row, across from the Visitors Train Depot.

Family-owned restaurant with outstanding seafood at affordable prices. Fried oysters are especially good.

Hands down, best po-boy in the bay. The Muffaletta is as good as Central Grocery. Roast Beef is reminiscent of the one from Dan B's and the stuffed crab is too (I know that it runs in Mrs. Helen's family.) I got fresh shrimp from here to bring home - easy to peel amd good size. Dont forget about steak night on Thursday. Teddy cooks it up perfectly every time! Only drawback is that service can be slow sometimes. Dont let that deter you from an excellent meal!

We came down from Texas for a vacation on the river. Pretty much anywhere we went in this town, we got a LOT of stares. It's a small town and we definitely stood out (I'm guessing). When we walked in there wasn't a lot of seating, we had a group of 6 plus a baby. There was a small table open for 2 people. After about 5 or so minutes of the diners staring at us standing at the front deciding what we were going to do, an older couple very kindly finished their meal and picked up their plates so we could sit at the large table they were at (thank you couple!). Once we were seated things got better, the waitress was super friendly and accommodating. Between the 6 of us we got stuffed crab platters, fried soft shell crab, mahi mahi, fried shrimp, hush puppies, sweet potato fries and some beers. Everything was EXCELLENT! We did have some picky eaters with us and they enjoyed everything too, aside from the stuffed crab. The stuffed crab was super moist and the texture was almost like pancake batter. While good, it was hard to eat a lot of. I recommend getting the fried soft shell crab instead (it's amazing). It was good overall, decent price and quick service.

Best fried shrimp po boy in town. Fries could be a little more crisp for my liking.
